Tip of the cartridge literally affects your work:

Needle diameter
The choice of needle diameter depends on the skin type.
Thinner needle is more flexible than thicker one. You need to find a balance between the skin thickness and needle diameter. Thus thin needle diameter (0.25) will be required for thin skin, resp. 0.30 needle diameter suits for normal skin type and 0.35 needle diameter for thick skin.

Needle taper
Different needle taper leaves different pixel size in the skin.
ST | Short taper – big pixel (soft tip, less traumatic. Suitable for sensitive skin, as well as for very thick and tight skin)
MT | Medium taper – medium pixel (universal taper suits for every type of skin and technique)
LT | Long taper – small pixel (very sharp needle, means more traumatic. Suitable for delicate and very superficial work. Also works really good with very strechy skin)

Bars
Soft: The whole needle is flexible.
