MELANIN brown shade
Eumelanin brown; makes the skin dark

Pheomelanin reddish-orange; it hues a pink color to lips and some other body parts
CAROTENE yellow-orange hue
belongs to the group of carotenoids
HEMOGLOBIN reddish shade.
Oxyhemoglobin the compound of hemoglobin with oxygen, predominantly found in arterial blood, giving it a scarlet color

Deoxyhemoglobin hemoglobin that has released his oxygen to tissues

Carboxyhemoglobin the compound of hemoglobin with carbon dioxide gas, predominantly formed in deoxygenated blood, making it dark cherry color.
Choice of pigment according to skin color
Moon
A well-balanced taupe color. Usually used to lighten Mercury. Appropriate for most Fitzpatrick I-II skin types.
Milky Way
A well-balanced warm light brown. Usually used to lighten Infinity. Appropriate for most Fitzpatrick III-V skin types.
Infinity
A medium to dark chocolate brown color. Can be used pure, lightened with Milky Way or darkened with Galaxy. Use on Fitzpatrick III-V skin types.
Mercury
A medium to dark neutral brown color. Can be used pure, lightened with Moon or darkened with Galaxy. Use on Fitzpatrick I-II or VI skin types.
Galaxy
A dark brown color. Usually used to darken Infinity and Mercury. Good for Fitzpatrick IV-VI skin types.
